| PANTHERS END GOBBLERS WINNING STREAK (from Victoria Advocate on 9/25/2007 ) |

The Panthers defeated #6-ranked Cuero Gobblers 49-35. The victory ended a Gobblers 41-game win streak. The Panthers (4-0) used their bruising rushing attack led by the running and receiving of fullback Doug Allman to wear the Gobblers (3-1) down before putting them away in the fourth quarter. Liberty Hill rushed 74 times for 428 yards and the one pass the Panthers threw went for a 29-yard touchdown from Braden Fickel to Allman. |
